Forensic Psychiatry
Dr. Altman practices forensic psychiatry in Reading, PA. She specializes in expert witness evaluations and testimony in child and adolescent and adult psychiatry, IME's, medical file reviews, forensic evaluations on adults and children, competency to stand trial, criminal cases and custody evaluations.
After graduating with honors from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Altman received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She did her Adult Psychiatry residency at the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital, and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.individuals, families, and couples.
Dr. Altman has been practicing psychiatry in Reading, Pennsylvania for 28 years. She was the first chairperson of the department of child psychiatry at Reading Hospital Medical Center in 2002, and the medical director of the Children's Home of Reading from 1997-2012. Dr. Altman continues to practice child and adult psychiatry at CONCERN, Inc. and Empowerment Behavioral Health.
